André Cebrián, flute
Andre is Flute Soloist of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Following his first experiences in young orchestras such as the Galicia Symphony Youth Orchestra, JONDE (Spanish National Youth Orchestra), the Britten-Pears and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, he began his professional career in orchestras such as the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, Galician Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife, Cadaques Orchestra, Comunidad Valenciana Orchestra, Mozart Orchestra, Oporto Symphony, Staatskapelle Dresden and the Asturias Symphony. He is regularly invited as solo flutist by the BBC Scottish Symphony, Philharmonia Zurich, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Spira Mirabilis, Castilla and Leon Symphony, Gran Canaria Philarmonic, Barcelona Symphony (OBC), Gran Teatro del Liceu, Malaysian Philharmonic and Orchestra Leonore.
Andre is not only an experienced orchestra musician but also a chamber music enthusiast. His duo projects with the harpist Bleuenn Le Friec and the guitarist Pedro Mateo Gonzalez, as well as his time with the wind quintet Azahar Ensemble and the Natalia Ensemble (a symphonic ensemble which he founded in 2013 and of which he was also artistic director and music arranger) have brought him to over 100 festivals all over Europe.
His career as a soloist has brought him to countries such as Spain, Germany, Poland, Georgia and the United Kingdom, alongside orchestras such as the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, Castilla and Leon Symphony Orchestra, Comunidad de Madrid Orchestra, Dresden Staatskapelle, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Georgian Sinfonietta and the Filharmonia Zabrzanska, with conductors such as Maxim Emelyanychev, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Zsolt Nagy, Alejandro Posada, Vladimir Jurowski, Miguel Angel Gomez-Martinez, Guillermo Garcia-Calvo, Joana Carneiro and Peter Whelan.
He studied in his hometown (Santiago de Compostela) and in Salamanca with Luis Soto, Laurent Blaiteau and Pablo Sagredo; continuing his musical training at the Hochschule fur Musik Detmold with Janos Balint and at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Geneve with Jacques Zoon.
Andre shares his love for music through the many courses he teaches all over the world, and the youth orchestra projects he joins each season (JONDE, JONC, OJA, JOGV, OSAV, OSIM, OSAV... ). From 2013 to 2020, he taught flute and chamber music at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Aragon and since 2020 he has been a teacher at the Orchestral Studies Academy of the Barenboim-Said Foundation.
Irene Alfageme, piano
The pianist Irene Alfageme, who is specialized in vocal accompaniment and chamber music, studied in her hometown, Valladolid, and continued her training at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Salamanca, Royal Academy of Music in London, and Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva. She attended prestigious masterclasses for accompanists at the Academia Solti-te Kanawa in Rome, the Mozart Residence of the Festival d'Aix en Provence, and the International Lied Masterclasess in Brussels.
She has performed recitals with singers such as Bryn Terfel and Placido Domingo, as well as in piano rehearsals with Felicitty Lott, Magdalena Kozena, Iain Bostridge, Angela Denoke and Erwin Schrott, among others, and conductors such as Jesus Lopez-Cobos, David Afkham, Josep Pons, Lepold Hager and Vasily Petrenko. As an accompaniment teacher, she worked with the Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg and the Teatro Calderon in Valladolid, where she was also the artistic coordinator of the Calderon Lirico project.
Simultaneously, she regularly works with the Castilla and Leon Symphony Orchestra and the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir, and is a founding member of the Natalia Ensemble.
She has performed numerous recitals as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles in Europe, Canada, United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Japan, in venues such as the Teatro Real, Teatro Campoamor, Kursaal, Palacio Eskaulduna, Palau de la Musica (Barcelona), Fundacion Juan March, St. Martin in the Fields, Sala Barcelo of the United Nations (Geneva), Yamaha Hall (Fukuoka), Hill Side Darayama (Tokyo) and Brooklyn Theater (Pretoria). As a soloist, she has performed with the Amersham Festival Orchestra, the Andres Seyra Orchestra, the Andres Segovia Orchestra and Leon Symphony Orchestra.
She has won the Janet Duff Greet Prize, the City of San Sebastian Competition, the City of Manresa Competition, the Monserrat Alavedra Award and the Pedro Bote Prize.
She teaches vocal repertoire at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid.
