Plácido Domingo. Singer and conductor, tenor and baritone, a multifaceted artist with more than 150 roles and 4,400 performances, acclaimed by audiences on the world’s greatest stages.
Considered a Renaissance Man by critics, he has been awarded honorary titles and prestigious international prizes, particularly in recognition of his humanitarian commitment and philanthropic work.
A driving force behind emerging young talent and founder of the Operalia singing competition, he is a global ambassador for Spanish culture and zarzuela, continuing the legacy of his parents.
Extraordinarily eclectic, he has served as Artistic and General Director of the Los Angeles Opera and Washington National Opera, helping to bring opera to wider audiences, and famously performed alongside Carreras and Pavarotti as one of the Three Tenors.
He has starred in opera films and live opera broadcasts for television audiences of millions, premiered several operas worldwide, and was a pioneer of crossover, earning 12 Grammy Awards.
Alongside his singing career, he has also developed an extensive career as an orchestral conductor, with more than 600 opera performances and symphonic concerts.
In recent years, he has devoted himself to the great roles of the baritone repertoire.
His extraordinary artistic career has continued uninterrupted for more than half a century. In recognition of this remarkable achievement, he has been celebrated at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, the Arena di Verona, La Scala in Milan, the Salzburg Festival, and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.
Xabier Anduaga, born in San Sebastián in 1995, began his training at the Orfeón Donostiarra and Musikene under the tutelage of Elena Barbé. Following his international debut in 2016 with Alberto Zedda, he has established himself as a star of the bel canto repertoire, performing on prestigious stages such as the Metropolitan Opera and the Paris Opera. His unstoppable career continues with upcoming engagements at the great opera houses of Berlin, Munich, and London.
Sabina Puértolas is an acclaimed soprano whose international career took off at La Scala under the baton of Riccardo Muti. A specialist in iconic roles such as Violetta, Gilda, and Manon, she has shone on stages of the caliber of the Royal Opera House, the Teatro Real, and Carnegie Hall. Her versatility has led her to excel in both operatic and zarzuela repertoires, collaborating with world-renowned conductors. In addition, she boasts a solid discography that includes works by great composers and her recent solo album, Cisnes en palacio (Swans in the Palace).
Lucero Tena is the key figure who has elevated the castanets to the status of a solo instrument in major concert halls across five continents. Nicknamed "The Paganini of the Castanets," she has performed under the baton of maestros such as Rostropovich and Plácido Domingo, alongside the world's most prestigious orchestras. Her interpretation of Falla's La vida breve is legendary, with recent milestones at the Berlin Philharmonie and La Scala. She currently continues her successful international career, notably her acclaimed duo with harpist Xavier de Maistre.
ADDA Simfònica. Resident orchestra of the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante, it has established itself on the international scene with its vibrant sound and stylistic versatility. Under the baton of Josep Vicent, the orchestra has collaborated with leading artists and has received nominations for both the GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Awards. Its innovative recording projects and strong social commitment position it as a leading symphonic ensemble.
