Alberto Sáez Puente
Born in Miranda de Ebro in 1984, he began studying saxophone at the music conservatoire of his hometown, later completing this specialization with professors Felix Gainza and Josetxo Silguero at the Music Conservatory of Vitoria. He began his piano studies there, finishing with the highest marks under the guidance of Angela Villagran, later expanding his piano training with A. Billet, A. Nieto, A. Garcia Urcola, and J. Perez de Azpeitia.
His interest in the role of the pianist as a lyric repertoire accompanist led him to pursue professional singing studies with Dr. Ainhoa Merzero, soprano and pedagogue, with whom he founded the Duo Lirico Soupir. He successfully completed his professional studies in organ and harpsichord at the Conservatory of San Sebastian with Professor Loreto Fernandez Imaz. At the Higher Music Center of the Basque Country "Musikene", he obtained a degree in Orchestra Conducting, with Maestro Garcia Asensio, combining his official studies with further training with renowned personalities in the field of orchestra and choir conducting, both nationally and internationally. He obtained a Master's Degree in Education at the International University of La Rioja. He studied organ at "Musikene" with Esteban Landart and with Saskia Roures at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Aragon, where he obtained the highest marks and was commended by the jury. In the same institution, he pursued postgraduate studies with M. Bouvard and M. Radulescu. Alberto has attended masterclasses and advanced courses with Montserrat Torrent, J. Martin Moro, Luis Jambou, Francesco Filidei, Mo Bernadette Dufourcet, Joris Verdin, Jan Willen Jansen, Luigi. F. Tagliavini, Olivier Latry, Theo Jellema, Lorenzo Ghielmi, etc.
A confident concert pianist, soloist and accompanist, harpsichordist and organist, he is a regular guest at important concert series in the most prestigious churches and venues in Spain, France, Romania and Portugal. He has played with important ensembles such as the La Rioja Symphony Orchestra, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Spain.
He was appointed Director of the Municipal Band of Briviesca, a position he combined with that of director of various choral groups such as Urmaiz Abesbatza, Orfeon Mirandes and Coro Sinfonico de Alava. He is currently a teacher in the Region of Cantabria, a teacher at the National Course for Liturgical Organists in Valladolid, approved by the Pontifical University of Comillas, and Conductor of the Choral Society of Bilbao.
