Pacho Flores is a virtuoso Venezuelan trumpeter trained in “El Sistema” and winner of some of the most prestigious international competitions, including the “Maurice André” Competition. His career is distinguished by a unique versatility that blends classical and popular styles, performing as a soloist on the world’s leading stages. He has served as principal trumpet of elite orchestras under conductors such as Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel. He is currently an exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon and an innovator who develops his own instruments in collaboration with the firm Stomvi.

Pacho Flores was awarded First Prize at the “Maurice André” International Competition, the world’s most prestigious trumpet competition, as well as First Prize at the “Philip Jones” International Competition and First Prize at the “Città di Porcia” International Competition. Trained within Venezuela’s renowned Sistema of Youth and Children’s Orchestras, he has earned wide recognition for his performances as a soloist, his recitals and his recordings.

Equally fluent in classical and popular styles, Flores brings great energy to his captivating performances, enriched by a refined palette of instrumental colours. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Kyiv Philharmonic, St Petersburg Camerata, Paris Orchestral Ensemble, Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, NHK Symphony Orchestra of Japan, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic, Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra and Arctic Philharmonic, among many others. He has given recitals in venues including Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle Pleyel in Paris and Tokyo Opera City.

As a founding member of the Simón Bolívar Brass Quintet, he has taken part in numerous tours throughout Europe, South America, the United States and Japan. An experienced orchestral musician, Flores has served as principal trumpet of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, the Saito Kinen Orchestra of Japan and the Miami Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of maestros such as Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle, Seiji Ozawa, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Eduardo Marturet and Gustavo Dudamel, among others.

Founder and director of the Latin American Trumpet Academy in Venezuela, he is dedicated to nurturing a promising new generation of young talent. Flores is a passionate advocate of contemporary music and makes significant contributions both to the performance and interpretation of his instrument. His repertoire includes commissions and premieres of works by composers such as Roger Boutry, Efraín Oscher, Giancarlo Castro, Santiago Báez, Juan Carlos Núñez and Sergio Bernal.

He has recently undertaken a major concert tour of Norway and Austria with Arctic Philharmonic under the direction of conductor and composer Christian Lindberg, performing Lindberg’s Trumpet Concerto “Akbank Bunka”, making his debut at the Festspielhaus in Salzburg and the Musikverein in Vienna. His first recording, “La trompeta Venezolana”, was released by the Guataca Producciones label.

An artist of the Stomvi brand, he plays instruments built exclusively for him by this prestigious firm and takes an active role in their development and innovation. Pacho Flores is an exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon; his first album with this renowned label was “Cantar”, with which he has embarked on a series of recordings reflecting the breadth and diversity of his musical interests.

Jesús González Brito, «Pingüino» is a prestigious musician, composer, and producer with a career spanning more than 130 albums and collaborations with figures such as Joan Manuel Serrat, Simón Díaz, and Paquito D'Rivera. He stands out for his versatility between classical and popular music, having directed international ensembles and founded pioneering chairs for traditional instruments. His pedagogical and cultural work extends across America and Europe, including a significant period of music promotion in Spain. Currently, he forms the duo Entropía with Pacho Flores, whose album under the Deutsche Grammophon label was awarded the Gold Medal at the Global Music Awards.

Jesús González Brito, alias «Pingüino», is a versatile Canarian-Venezuelan musician: arranger, composer, and producer. His career is backed by his participation in more than 130 record productions across three continents. He performs with singular skill in both the world of popular and classical music.

As a teacher, he has given workshops and masterclasses in Argentina, Germany, Spain, Uruguay, and Chile, for both children and adults with different levels of musical learning. He has collaborated on various occasions with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Uruguay, Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, Caracas Municipal Symphony Orchestra, National Philarmonic Orchestra of Venezuela, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. He has traveled across much of Uruguay and Argentina as Director of the Simón Bolívar Ensemble (a group of professional Uruguayan musicians dedicated to spreading Venezuelan sound) and Ensamble TierraSur (a group formed by Argentine musicians).

In 1989, he started the first chair of Double Bass for Venezuelan and Latin American music in the popular music workshops of the Bigott Foundation in Venezuela.

For two years (2015-2017), he served as a cultural promoter and teacher at the Center for Venezuelan Cultural Diversity in Spain, where he left a significant musical impact through workshops on the Venezuelan cuatro. He has also been a teacher of classical and popular guitar at the Banda de Celanova Music School in Galicia. He has worked with long-standing Venezuelan artists such as Un Solo Pueblo, Lilia Vera, Chelique Sarabia, Cecilia Todd, Eddy Marcano, Agrupación Convenezuela, Ensamble Gurrufío, La Cuerda de Carmito, Estudiantina Voces y Cuerdas de Venezuela, Omar Acosta Trío, Aquiles Machado, Ignacio Izcaray, Serenata Guayanesa, Aquiles Báez, Saúl Vera, Hernán Gamboa, Esperanza Márquez, Amanda Querales, Cheo Hurtado, Simón Díaz, Jesús Sevillano, David Moreira, Sir Augusto Ramírez, Henry Rubio, Huguette Contramaestre, and Fabiola José.

At an international level, he has collaborated with Joan Manuel Serrat, Paquito D’ Rivera, Grupo Mestizay, Juan Carlos Calderón, Alberto Cortez, Pedro Guerra, “Los Sabandeños”, Grupo Añoranza, Garoé, Ynarhú, Fabiola Socas, Taller Canario, Los Gofiones, Rita Tavares, Benito Cabrera, José Antonio Ramos, Domingo El Colorao, Grupo Al-farabi, Rocío Jurado, Bertín Osborne, Mª Dolores Pradera, Raquel Álvarez Ramos, Magdalena León, Eduardo Larbanois, Montevideo Symphonic Band, and Daniel Viglietti; as well as the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Mariel León, among others.

He has participated in more than 130 record productions.

Jesús González Brito was a guest artist at the Italian Brass Week in 2022. He shared the stage with the well-known trumpeter Pacho Flores. One of his most important recent projects is the duo with Venezuelan trumpeter Pacho Flores, from which the album «Entropía» was derived, released under the Deutsche Grammophon label. In this work, «Pingüino» stands out in the execution of the guitar and through a series of his own compositions that take on a life of their own in this album. The production was awarded the Gold Medal at the Global Music Awards in the Classical Instrumental Duo category.
