Formed in 1997, the Casals Quartet has received international acclaim, winning prizes such as the Brahms-Hamburg and the London International Competition. It has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and recorded extensive repertoire with Harmonia Mundi. Its interpretation of the complete Shostakovich and collaboration with contemporary composers have expanded its legacy.

HISTORY, ART AND WINE IN SAJAZARRA

LOCATION: Around the church of Santa María de la Asunción.

EXPERIENCE:

    1. Guided tour of Sajazarra, 10:30 a.m.: Discover the medieval origins of the church, the castle and the walls in harmonious contrast with the pieces of contemporary art hidden in its nooks through a guided tour of the village. Activity limited to 35 people.
    2. Tapas and local wineries' wine route, 1:30 p.m.: Sajazarra is more than history. Wine plays a major role in the region's economy. After the concert you can enjoy the best wines in the region accompanied by a gastronomic delicacy from La Rioja.
    3. Visit to Señorío de Líbano Winery, 1:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.: A short tour of the winery to learn all about the wine making process and ending with a wine tasting paired with local gastronomy. Two sessions with a limited capacity of 15 people each.

Note: The guided tour of the village and the visit to the winery are free for all concert ticket holders, but both require prior registration.

Tapas and wines must be paid for at the stalls themselves and are open to the general public.
