Daniel Oyarzábal

Daniel Oyarzabal boasts an already long international career that he has been pursuing for years with an intense concert activity at prestigious festivals in over 25 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. With a versatile perspective on music, Daniel Oyarzabal currently maintains a totally multidisciplinary professional activity that encompasses an impressive range of artistic and educational interests.

As a soloist on harpsichord and organ, his main instrument, he has performed in concerts at important venues such as the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, the Düsseldorf Opera House, the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn, the Auditorium in Lyon, the Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía and Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Stiftbasilika in St. Florian in Austria, and the cathedrals of Moscow, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Florence, León and Seville, to name a few. He graduated Cum Laude in harpsichord and organ at the Conservatory of Vitoria-Gasteiz, his hometown, and trained with the best European masters in several postgraduate courses in organ, harpsichord and historical instruments at the conservatories of Vienna, The Hague, and Amsterdam. Oyarzabal has been awarded several prizes, among them the Special Prize of the Press in the National Exhibition for Young Performers in Ibiza (1991), First Prize in the International Music Competition of Rome (1998), and Third Prize in the XIX International Competition of Nijmegen, Holland (2002). He is currently teacher of the Contemporary Music Composition Degree at the Escuela Universitaria de Artes y Espectáculos TAI-Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid and principal organist of the Spanish National Orchestra.

Miriam Hontana

Miriam Hontana has carried out for years a fervent concert activity with groups and orchestras that have led her to perform in festivals in Spain, Germany, Belgium, Romania, Austria, Switzerland and Slovakia and in halls such as the Konzerthaus in Berlin, Stadthalle in Kassel, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, National Auditorium in Madrid, Brucknerhaus in Linz, De Singel in Antwerp and Konterhaus in Vienna.

She studied violin and viola with Sergei Fatkulin, Ana María Valderrama, Luis del Valle and later expanded her studies of baroque violin and historical interpretation with Olivier Fourés and Hiro Kurosaki.

She works with different early music groups such as La Ritirata, Ensemble Jupiter, Looking Back, Concentus König, Conductus Ensemble, Tiento Nuovo and Forma Antiqva, among others.

She founded her own ensemble OBNI in 2021, focusing on seventeenth-century music and German and Italian music of the XVII and XVIII centuries. In its brief trajectory, it already treasures performances at festivals such as the Innsbruck Early Music Festival in August 2022.

Among her current projects is the interpretation of Vivaldi's Four Seasons as a duo with organist Daniel Oyarzabal, a project which they have performed as soloists in cathedrals and auditoriums such as the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas and the National Auditorium in Madrid.

She has been teaching violin at the Conservatorio Padre Antonio Soler in San Lorenzo del Escorial since 2021.
