Mozart Revolution

Attending a performance or a concert is always a reason for joy, and even more so if it is with one of the greatest composers in history: Mozart! Cheerful, optimistic, cheeky, surprising, refreshing... Such is the music of this genius and so are his characters. But the women who populate his operas - girls and ladies, young or mature - are a little tired of the role they have to play. They will share with us their beautiful arias and duets, but also their dreams and longings; all accompanied by young soloists from the Crescendo program of the Friends of the Royal Theater Foundation, who will delight us with their performance... and invite us to sing with them.

Rosa Gomariz, soprano – THE COUNTESS

The Madrid-born soprano began her studies in her hometown and completed them in Chicago. After studying in the United States, she joined the "Crescendo" program of the Madrid Royal Theater. She has received awards on several occasions in national and international competitions, and has debuted in roles such as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart), or in the leading role of A.I.D.A. (reduced version of Verdi's opera performed by the Opera Studio of the Royal Theater).

Alejandra Acuña, mezzo-soprano – THE MAID

After completing her Master of Music degree in Colombia, she received a scholarship to study at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Madrid), where she obtained her diploma in advanced vocal training and a Master's Degree in Performance. Her warm and agile voice, together with her expressive abilities, have brought her prestigious awards, such as the Young Performers Award from the Luis Ángel Arango Library and the Banco de la República (Bank of the Republic). She is currently part of the first generation of the Royal Theater's Crescendo Program for promising young opera singers.

Willingerd Ginénez, baritone – THE GENTLEMAN

Venezuelan baritone, winner of multiple awards, including first place in the "Concorso Internazionale di Canto Lirico 'Città di Roma Caput Mundi'", the Young Artists Award in the "International Lyric Singing Competition of Alcalá de Henares", and the Audience Award in the "Lola Rodríguez Aragón end of career Award". He has participated in the Crescendo program at the Royal Theater and has collaborated with distinguished entities such as the Wagnerian Association of Madrid or Friends of the Opera of Madrid, performing various operatic and zarzuela roles.

Ana Hernández-Sanchiz, hostess – THE COSTUME DESIGNER

Actress and musical promoter, she participates in the socio-educational programs of the main Spanish symphony orchestras, as well as other prestigious institutions such as the Royal Theater, for which she created and presented the opening shows of the Real Junior season "Mozart Revolution" (October 2021) and "A Ghost who sings does not scare" (premiere October 2022), or the National Dance Company, with whom she presented the ballet "Pulcinella" at the National Music Auditorium, with choreography by Blanca Li, in a collaboration with the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir.

Cristina Sanz, pianist – THE PIANIST

Resident pianist at the Museo Del Prado in Madrid during the years 2021 and 2022. She works as a repertoire teacher at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón. She studied piano at the Escuela Reina Sofía with Professor Galina Eguiazarova, and collaborates regularly with the Royal Theater, accompanying singers, as part of her participation in the Crescendo program.
